Sorter for RFID drop box

Returns of borrowed publications in those libraries serving a large number of users may constitute a serious organizational problem. Books collected in one place must be then sorted manually, which is a very time-consuming process.

Such libraries may use a sorter installed just behind the RFID drop box. The returned items are placed on a conveyor belt which transports them to designated carts. Sorting is done according to a programmed pattern, allowing books to be sorted by two or more departments, or, when the first cart is full, to take books to the next available cart. The modular design of the sorter enables easy configuration and expansion limited only by the library's needs and available space.
